SoftIce problem

I had downloaded SoftIce and installed it with a tutorial. Now i wanna start it with "ntice.bat", but it says he dont find the procedure. I watched and the Service is not installed.

Has anyone a tutorial with examples or can help me ?

My tut (its a offline tutorial, dont know the url where i get it) sayes "Just install it and start ntice.bat" haha...

when you reboot your pc do you see the text "Press ESC to cancel loading SVID driver" ? it should appear right before the Windows loading screen.

what OS are you using ? and what version of SoftIce did you installed ?

I use
Windows XP Prof. without SP2
SoftIce 3.0 NT

I installed it many times. No text on booting, and no installed service.
In the installation i tryed "Start on boot", "Start on systemstart", etc., but nothing happend...

In a tutorial i see there must be a file named "WINICE.DAT" in the "SYSTEM32/DRIVERS/ETC" path, but isnt there

If i start ntice.bat i become an systemerror 127 procedure not found..

I think that meens that the service is not installed...

i´m using Compuware Driver Studio v2.7 (includes SofticeNT) on my WinXP OS.
the latest is Driver Studio v3.1 wich will also work on WinXP.
check http://www.compuware.com/products/dr...io/default.htm
and you can request a 14 day trial version, protected with FlexLM 9 ;)
