Oddworld Patch
 

Hi, I've just installed 'Oddworld - Munch's Oddysee' on my xbox
Everything was going well until I selected 'New Game' and the game tried to show the opening movie. I got an error message saying that it had occured an error trying to read the moviefile, and that the game disk may be dirty or damaged. Since I installed the game directly into my hdd on the xbox, it has to be something wrong with the opening movie file.
Can anyone help me?
Is there someone who knows of a patch to Oddworld which fixes this problem?? :confused:

Oddworld was one of the fist series of games to come to the xbox. It was actually supposed to be what the "xbox had exclusive of", before halo was a surprise hit. There isn't any patch needed, and I have it backed up to my hdd without a problem.

I would suggest copying the game disk again. If you are using dvd2xbox, make sure that the part saying "files failed to copy", is 0. It is not a rare occurance for a file to fail.

I would follow your advice if I could, but you see, the problem is that I have dl'd the game. :rolleyes:


I might solve the problem if somebody had been able to post a saved game from right after the first movie. Then I could have loaded that game, and skipped the first opening movie!
