MOD for new PSTwo?
 

Hey guys~

Just wondering when everyone thinks a company will have a mod chip that can be put into the new PSTwo?

About how long after a system release is a mod chip produced by someone?

Hey there

Good question and one that lots of people will want an answer to… I’m sure someone will be able to shed light on the matter soon enough :)

however, its near impossible to comment on how long it would take to produce a modchip after a new system is released, there are many variables to consider, an unknown amount of alterations results in an unpredictable amount of time to produce a modchip, until a team has been able to analyse the new system, and even then it would be a guesstimate, as problems inevitably crop up...

five months. I don't think the infrastructure is going to change that much. consoles are pretty much mini-computers - that being said it shouldn't take too long to adapt, apply, mod, release.

Yeah but it still took forever to first mod the xbox. And even now the gamecube isnt feasibly modded. Then again it may be modded rather quickly.

So we really cant say.

hrmm i dunno, some kinda external hookup wouldnt be so bad. it would save time and hassle.

PSTwo IMHO are the most blatant cost cutting cheap pieces of crap i've seen coming from Sony. Trouble is, kids ain't gonna see this at chrimbo, and Sony are going to make a bloody killing on them :(

Origa bros prob make a release there the genius's. Ah im sure theres a lil spot u can put the chip there prob be mini chip for it wont there or just sit on top of a chip or something.

I reckon its going to take at leat 6-8 months until a chip comes out for the PSTwo. But it's going to be like the original chips for the PS2, buggy but if the boards and rest of the internal stuff are same, then i could be mistaken
