Pioneer DVR-106D Problems
 

Hi,
I have a External Pioneer D106 1.07 running through firewire on my winxp. In the beginning it was working fine and burning everything I asked it to burn (About year and a half ago). Lately though it has off and on about burning things. I've tried Nero and RecordNowMax for compilations, and for images I've used DVD-Decrypter, CloneDVD, and some other progs. I've managed to burn some off and on DVDs, but lately it has been getting pretty bad.

I'm using DVD-R 1x (Compusa Brand-Princo Dye according to DVD Decrypter)
and also Ritek G04. Both were able to burn flawlessly before, but lately it has been getting pretty bad. The G04 will burn more often than the other one, but before they both worked well. I also have the same results with Memorex brands.

The problem is, is that once it starts to burn, after maybe 2-3%, it says that it was not able to burn. (Unspecified Target Error-Nero) and for RecordNowMax it stops at 2% and says "Data Job ... Terminated with Errors. Error -10 at Sector 816 - Command:2A Sense :05 ASC:21 ASCQ02) After that the DVD writer locks up and won't eject the disc. I have to turn it off and back on to eject the disc.

I've tried to unistall the device and reinstall it.
