please help...Doom 3
 

After I click start game (on any skill level) and after the loading screen is done loading, it just goes back to the starting screen. Any suggestions?

since your in the backup forum im guessing this is only when using a crack? if so try:
looking for a newer crack
Using the original till a fixed crack comes out
make a 1:1 image or copy

i had this broblem too.no sound right?i uninstalled the game and reinstalled.have you extracted the pk files?

yeah...i loose the sound when it goes back to the start screen. I'm pretty sure I extracted the pk files (aren't those necessary to install the game anyway?). BTW when it's loading it takes a while, so i think its loading the map but just doesnt go to it for some reason.

Check your version of DirectX!

DirectX or Drivers is my guess...Also, if it's warez, then shame on you...Things like that happen all the time to warez.

I have directx 9.0c and I also have doom 3 demo version installed and it runs just fine so ... :confused:

So what you are saying is you have both the Doom3 demo and the full Doom3 game installed? And the demo works fine but the full game doesnt? Is that correct? Have you updated doom with the v1.1 update?

yea the demo worked but not the full.. but I fixed it anyways :D ...I hadn't unpacked the pk files (ty Lucy) after I had installed it. So the game works now, but for some reason its like 3.7 gigabytes.
