Backups not working..

Hello there,

I have a little question about my backups. I backupped Burnout 3 but it doesn't seem to work on my PS2 (modded with Neo 2.3). At a friend of mine it works perfect (messiah chip). Now I know everyone is gonna tell me that I should get another chip or something but I think it's pretty weird all my other backups worked so far and just this one isn't. You guys have any other suggestion then getting my PS2 modded with another chip?

Thanks in Advance

You've answered you're own question..but i think you're modchip won't work with Burnout 3 (maybe it has the same double check TOC thingy like Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow)...

Yeah get your PS2 re-modded...DUO chips are nice to get or maybe a Matrix Infinity

MrNiceguy 07-10-2004 05:38

thanks for a decent answer Renegade :)
but it isn't the dual TOC check it seems cuz my Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow backup works fine. It's just this damn one game and that's why I did not consider remodding my ps2. Cuz why should I spend 150 euro for a new chip when the neo 2.3 works fine?

hmm well, some people would disagree that the neo 2.3 is a good chip. The reason why we advice you to get a new chip is for your benifit. The neo 2.3 is a swap modchip which gets boring after a while. A duo on the other hand is a direct boot modchip no swapping around and can boot 2 toc games like splinter cell and burnout 3 etc....

You may want to go to www.alucard.cc to find a non solder swap patch this may help

Hey! I thought my answer was decent.

Anyways, that Neo2.3 is gonna wind up killing your laser. I cant believe it hasnt done so already.

Tyler!

lol yeah i did 2

neo 2.3 aint a great chip. I would reccomend a duo chip. All you need is confidence and you will be able to chip your console. Get yourself a duo mod. They are very cheap and take less than 2 hours to install, or get a pro to fit it tell us your location and we will be able to tell you a good installer in your area.

I know there are way much better chips now but when I got that Neo 2.3 there wasn't much of a choice. But so far it still worked for me so no need for me to buy a new chip, now I might consider it becuz it doesn't play all games anymore.
Anyways thanks for your time and help!

Just play your original

A prudent choice if I might say so. Those neo's are laser killers anyway. Surely if you do not change it up soon, you might be without a PS2 all together. Now that would suk sour buttermilk! The sooner you get that thing out of there, the better. I use a Duo chip myself and I can vouch for its reliabilty. It truly is a great chip. ;)
