trainer

ive been tryin to get the trainer to work... i modifed my ini and added

Item "Trainers",ID_trainer

however it doesnt even appear in my menu... also where am i supposed to put the actual trainer file (.etm) itself?

Quall999 06-10-2004 12:44

well, can I get a clip of the {root} part of the ini?

Trainer go in a "trainers" folder, located where the evoxdash.xbe is. You have to enable trainers in the settings, have but you probably done that.

in addition i created a folder in the c:\ called trainers and added the trainers in that folder

AXmichigan 06-10-2004 16:25

try upgrading ur evox to like build 3921
that automatically has the evox trainers directory added int he evox.ini
to use em
u gotta turn on all 3 igr's in the evox menu

Xo0jon0oX 06-10-2004 16:41

i already have all 3 igr to yes... my evox is 3752... ive tried to look on other forums and xbox scene and all it really says is turn the tsr on and add the trainer line in the root which i already did

Quall999 06-10-2004 18:17

upgrade to dash version 3935 (or 3921). 3935 fixed some issues though and changed the TRS types (which is "TSR_Type = 1", there is 3 seperate options, debug and normal....or off). Also, IGR doesn't need to be on anymore with 3935.

Im not even completely sure 3972 supports trainers. It has been a while, so I can't remember for sure. Anyways, I wouldn't use old ini files with evox files. You can probably edit the root briskly to keep it, but the rest should go because of changes.

Xo0jon0oX 06-10-2004 23:08

so would i have to reflash my xbox? and if thats the case... i would lose everything in my hdd? also when flashing the xbox... do i just put the disc in and use the flash bios option in the menu?

AXmichigan 07-10-2004 00:37

flashing has to do with ur bios.. and that would be the chip
so not reflashing
reinstalling
u needa reinstall the dash (NOT BIOS!)
just get the evox build 3921
burn it on a cdrw
just copy it over
u wont lose stuff on ur hdd
just replace the files from ur old evox
