Does anybody have problems connecting to online play? whenever i try i only synch up about 1 out of every 7 times I try and other times it will just say
"lost connection to generals online server". i have no clue what this problem is. i can connect to other online games (DOD, Ghost Recon, Rise of Nations, BF Vietnam) no problem. it just seems to be this game

Are you using zonealarm as your firewall?

do you have sp2 installed, i read somewhere that c&c sometimes makes problems with online playing with sp2?!

Make sure your virus protection is upto scratch as well, some viruses/worms flood net/lan connections and can cause timeouts and long delays (ie blaster).

i'm not sure what firewall it is. it's the one that windows XP downloads by itself

and i'm not sure what SP2 is.

You might wanna ask the shop you bought the game at or the game manufacturer. This forum is about backing up games, not playing them.

Also, the Windows documentation should give you an idea on what a firewall is and the game documentation on what to try if you can't connect. Good luck,
