PS2 Backup problem

I got a disc red error that said
Px Engine Error(Command:28 Sense:05 ASC:64ASCQ:00) reading from disc error

I am using recordnow dx, I/O Magic burner, windows xp and I have not had any problems with my DVD or PS2 backups until now. Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks
BK

That usually means a scratch or dirty disc. Try polishing your disc with car polish.

Sorry Im new to this, But you have to be kidding me lol....

If this actually works I will do my best to help the person who thought "Hmmm I wonder what would happen if you put car polish here" with the amount of time on their hands lol

Actually I own an auto body shop and the idea just popped into my head. I know the in's and out's of polishing and I also know that discs are just plastic. So I knew polishing would work.

I actually came up with this idea 4 years ago in my CS moderating days.

So how many times would you say the limit would be on "Polishing" your games.

And god I wish I woulda known about this before I went out and bought another copy of Madden 04 last year lol....

BTW love this site!!!1!!!one

I wouldnt think there is a limit. Other than if you scratch your disc really deep. Polish only works for light to medium scratches.
