I am using a flip top lid with the swap magic boot disk. When I first got it It was working fine but now I can't get a single game to work. I tried making a copy of my hitman contracts and silent hill 3 but they wouldn't even boot up. Then when I copied my 007 everything or nothing some of the levels wouldn't work. I start with using memorex then go to sony then I go to verbatium but no matter what kind of disk I use they won't play. should I switch to a modchip or am I doing something wrong

so games that don't work using a boot disk will work with a mod chip?

Yes, depending on the laser. Also, try some ritek dvd-r. ;)

We don't recommend mods for nothing, lol :)

Sounds like this guys having a laser problem though so recommending him a mod won't solve anything.

How long ago was it that it was reading your DVD'rs?

And what version ps2 have you got?

Memorex slowly killed my first ps2.

They worked when she was brand new so didn't think they were a problem. Slowly with time the loading times got longer, then became temp then the poor old v4 passed away.

On another note my v7 is a fantastic baby!!!!! Still going VERY strong, no probs at all. :rolleyes:
