Mpg to Mp3?
 

I would like to convert a mpg to mp3. Does anyone know if this is possible and which program would be best suited to do this? Even converting the mpg to an audio file would be enough. Obviously I would just like the audio and not the video! Thankyou

Isnt mpg a video file?

Do a google search for VirtualDub It allows you to strip only the audio out of an mp3 to different formats such as wave and others.

yeah i was gonna suggest virtualdub too its really easy to use and does the job :)

I have been successful in this area as well using my Creative labs Sound Blaster Live MP3 software. It has the capabilty to record what you hear through your speakers, no matter what the source is. This function is included in the sound recorder. Hope you get it ok!

Thanx Crazy, I have an Audigy 2 platnium card so I also have the creative program you are referring to. I had some success with Vitual Dub but I will also give creative a go! Thanx again.
