How can i make Self-Boot Discs? I'm a newbie with this! ._.
Hello! \o
I've tried, and tried but i can't make one self-boot disc on Windows 2000 Professional. Anyone knows how can i do this? I really need help. I don't know anything about this. If is possible, a step, by step tutorial with pictures with be very good! :D I have a Iomega Predator 40x12x40 CD-RW Recorder USB and a LG 52x CD-ROM drive. What tools i will need to use? Can anyone put the links here? ^_^ Thanks again! \o |
You have various methods and programs depends on what you want I also have win2k so its not a problem, the only problem I had with bin2boot, Binhack ect was that I had to change the language (in properties) of the keyboard from portuguese to american english cause I couldn´t write right  characters were all wrong. What problems you´re having? Try using cdrecord instead of cdrwin if using the Echelon method cause cdrwin was giving alot of trouble with my burner and the method overall.

I used the WinBoot utility that can make self-boot discs using the Echelon's Method, but it doesn't works here, on Windows 2000. It only works on Windows 98.
I've found another tool that make the discs correcty, but only on Windows 98 too. The main problem is the cdrecord.exe that doesn't works with the Windows 2000. I've tried to install the ForceASPI, but the result as the same. ._. What can i do? What methods can i use to make a self-boot disc? ._. |
Try Exoboot its a nice GUI to several other programs with I had sucess where others failed.
