Weird Sound when booting
 

I just had a couple boxes done and they have a high pitch sound when booted for the first time.....Then they flash red..green...yellow a couple of times and it is fine...I flashed with the current 49..... and everything works great....No smoke or grinding metal......just some weird things.... Then when I turn it off...The eject light flashs red for a split second.....And I had to set the date a couple of times in the beginning....But it all seems fine now....Hmmmm..Anyway....Is there a bios or something I can do to change the splashscreen to blue...red....or whatever.....I thought I read that you can make the logo blue....That would be cool....Thanx all......

did you install the chips yourself or no? also how many times does the hi pitch sound accur in one boot, and does this sound only occur when no disk is inserted in the dvd drive?

Not sure....I had a friend do them....But he has done MANY before...just the first time I experienced it myself.....It does not appear to happen anymore after the flashing....But I will investigate....
