HD Loader Freezes!!!
 

Hi, I already formated my HDD but whenever I insert the HD Loader Disc(copy) the starting screen freezes 9 times out of 10. What can I do to stop that? Is there a pacth or something? Does loading it from the memory card solve that problem? Thanks for the help.

hdloader has mad encyptions you need to use your original

What media and program did you use to back it up?

For now you can use the original to play your games until we figure out why you are having probs. Also what model ps2 and mod chip are you using?

Edit: as snake said, you will have to use the original until we find a way to back it up successfully.

My PS2 is V.7 with the BlackChip installed.

Marvin23, answer the Question. How did you back up the HD loader original??

Ive used CloneCD to backup my HDLoader but it only allows the installation of games. NOT the play of games. I guess whatever doesnt copy with clonecd is whats necessary to play the games.

Well TD you got farther than i did! :p I guess in regard to the backup problems, it wasnt such a bad thing for me to buy 2. Atleast if one gets damaged, i can always resort to openning the other one. :D

@marvin23 Never heard of a black modchip???? Sounds a bit generic. Where did you buy your chip at? Did you install it yourself or by a pro? What type of media and program are you using?
The answers to these questions will give us an idea on what has been tried so far cause there hasnt been a completely successful backup reported yet.
At what point does it freeze on you? Does it make it to the "Game list" screen and then freeze? Before that or after you attempt to choose a game?
