Battlefield Vietnam
This might be off topic but i need help.
a while ago i installed a backup version of bfv but one of the discs didn't work so i had to uninstall manually. the problem is i have now bought the game and tried to install, but the pc still thinks the game is on already. i have done a search for anything to do with bfv on my hd and deleted whatever was found. i have also used ashampoo suite and removed any redundant files and cleaned the registry. the game still wont install. a friend at work said it could be a dll file in the registry that needs removing but there are 1000's on my hd. how do i know which one to delete, is there an easy way of sorting this problem? |
You pirated the game and come here for help?
Its good that you're attempting to go legit. Contact EA for support, its their software stopping you from installing. |
i had the same prob, with a legit version tho ¬¬, dont remember how i fixed it tho lol
|
yeah i got the original copy and still cant install.
|
ur best bet is to contact tech support.

There is a page on the EA tech site that tells you how to uninstall BFV completely and correctly for just such a case.
Go there, find it, follow the instructions and re-install. Voila. Sure, we think you're a loser for pirating the game..but at least you've come clean and purchased it now and that makes you worthy of our support ;) |
Remove the game from Control Panel -> add remove programs.
Download regseeker v1.35: http://www.hoverdesk.net/freeware.htm Run it to clean your registry. Manually erase the Programs Files -> EA Games -> Battlefield 1942 directory All set... Reinstall |
