Does anyone have Real Myst? Please help

This is probably a long shot as this is a pretty rare game i think, but my copy of Real Myst (the fully 3D remake of the classic Myst game) has been scratched. I've tried to make a backup of it, but the scratch has caused read errors.
I've tried copying it to hard drive, and every file is fine except one called 'PageLoop.bik'
I've looked in the shops and on websites, including eBay, and can't find another copy of the game for sale anywhere. So i was wondering, if someone has this game, would it be possible for them to send me the file I can't recover (as its only 390kb)

Thanks

Contact the publisher? I've had really old games replaced before.

Real myst? remake in 3d? as far as im concerned the original myst was alredy in 3d, anyhow, that you dont find it i dont believe i went today to GAME to purschase Soldiers, and i saw MYST 1 collectors edition, wich is the same game maybe with a few addons but yeah. it was a tenner.

I think the original Myst was static rendered scenes? The 3D remake lets you look around using mouselook, like in FPS games!

If there is another BIK file of similar size, maybe you could make up another CD but rename a copy of that file to 'PageLoop.bik' and see if that works?

Worth a shot!

oh ok then, sorry forget i asked :o
i did email the publishers last week... still waiting for a reply. i'll just keep searching ebay im sure it will turn up sooner or later

and yeah, the first myst was like a series of photographs, if you clicked to go forward it would simply load the next photograph a few steps further on. they've all played kind of like that so far, although these days you can rotate 360 degrees and have a good look round cos they work by streaming video instead, but you still move forward in steps.
real myst was a proper 3d modelled version of the original game, so you can walk around like in a regular first person shooter. has more novel value than anything

if you have access to an electric car buffer, put a small dab of either car polish or toothpaste on the buffer pad and see if you can buff out those scratches. First test the original and see if it loads up ok, then try to back it up once the scratches are out. You may find that the buffer will become your best friend. I have saved a great many games by using this technique and believe me, it works very well. Just a suggestion so you dont have to buy the game again. If it fails, which i doubt it will unless your scratches are super deep, then you will have to either wait to hear from the manufacture or buy it again. I stand by this buffer advice though cause it definitely works great. If you have a big lots near you, you can find a orbital car buffer there for right around $15 or so. My local big lots does carry them so i would hope if you have one locally, you will find one as well if you dont already have one. ;)

If you're looking at the ebay route, then the used Amazon area may interest you.

Try using different CD Rom drives at work and at your friends. Some drives can read thru nasty scratches.
