EvoX dashboard is not loading
I need some help. I just put in a Xenium ICE with the Evolution x M8 bios and finally found a place to download one version of the Evo X dashboard build 3921. I got the dashboard loaded up and working fine but when the next time I loaded it up the xbox starts freeze up and won't get past the screen of the xbox symbol. As soon as the Microsoft symbol appears below it reboots the same screen over and over again. I am quite new at this so any help would be much appreciated.

What version of xbox do you have?
Tyler! |
I believe it is Version 1.4, almost positive but I could be wrong.
|
Are you sure your using the correct M8 bios? There is one strictly for v1.6 xbox's and another for xbox's from1-1.5.
Tyler! |
Yes, when I unzipped the file for the bios - two files were present. M8 and M8 1.6. I loaded up the regular M8.

first things first i have had problems with the ice chip but the simple solution is to make sure after installing the chip is to set the time on the ms dash for some reason it causes errors also make sure to set teh chip to normal mode i recieved 5 chips and all were set to restore mode refer to the online manuals to set teh switch right also look for a noobs guide for the xenium ice chip as it is different than the regular old xenium chip
Good luck Greg |
How do you change the mode? Is it the switch on the mod or is it possible to change it via the OS?
Also, I had another question related to the external LED. I want to hook this up but where and what do I attach the ring on the wire group to? I assume it is for a screw but can it be any screw and does it even need to be hooked up? thanks for your help earlier - I am searching for the information. :) |
the mode switch is on the chip itself and the screw i am guessing it is a ground wire but not sure i didnt use the external led
|
Yah, I figured it was a ground wire. Well, if you do find out anything about the ground let me know. Thanx for your help, I will adjust the switch this afternoon.
|
I got a confirmed answer
So it is a ground wire and I can attach it to any screw. It is quite straighforward, yet I didn't want to proceed unless I was 100% sure.
