southern ca... long beach area

hey i just moved to long beach recently... and i lost all my hooksups... does anyone know where i can get my friends xbox modded down here? in addition to that i also need so replace my power source because my xbox turns off sometimes in the middle of a game... does anyone know the cause of this or is my xbox just getting old?

I can't help yo uwith installers in your area, but I replaced a blown power supply on another xbox I have and it plays for about 2 hours before it shuts off (randomly). So, that problem may be due to more than a power supply.

my xbox shuts off usually after a few hours of play in a graphicly intense game due to over heating so the xbox shuts down to protect itself from burning up i have also had to replace the power cord inlet due to me screwing up the prongs insid it due to plugging and unplugging it so much

That is what people have advised me of, except it doesn't matter which game (shuts off in movies as well). I wanted to mod it an use evox to watch the temperatures, but haven't gotten around to it.

i think the problem is actually from unplugging and pluging the power supply over and over again because last time i did that... i heard a real loud poping sound and sometimes when i do plug it in i can hear faint little popping sounds.... so im guessing thats what its from... could this be repaired? or can i just get a new power chord?
