xbox mod chips help

can somebody tell me the good mod chips and what they do (eg at www.norcalmods.com, they tell the name of the modchip and the also tell what it does)?

and on ebay i found this one modded xbox where you just have to put in the game, the xbox downloads the game to the HD, and you never have to put the disc in again cause its already in the HD, plus, the seller said that there are also no loading times cause its already in there. anybody know what im talking about?

Reading the ULTIMATE STICKY would've been a good start.. I suggest you do that..

Modchips all have pretty much the same function. To boot YOUR BACKUP games and some imports off of DVD-R Discs. You can upgrade the hard drive in your xbox and be able to store your backups on it with some tools (programs) available online.

As for chips is all personal preference.. Use the search method on this site to check threads (there are about 5 billion of them) pertaining to what modchips are the most reliable and popular. Again they're all similar but some have extra bells and whistles. Checking google also might help.. DO YOUR HOMEWORK!

is there any site that mods/updates the xbox for you?

and what is the chip called where you can pop in the disc, let it download on to the xbox, and play the game without ever putting in the disc ever again?

and i found this other thing on ebay where it came with nes/snes/gb/gba/sg/smd/n64/other emulators and games programmed into it. whats that called? (yes i know im a total newb)

I would take Neipas' advice and do some reading. Loading the harddrive is a function of software NOT hardware (eg. modchip).

I'm not a lawyer (or even play one on TV!) but I do believe selling game roms is illegal and I would not recommend buying them either.

i know ill get ripped off if i buy roms, but thats only a bonus, the xbox comes with about 70 games already downloaded on to it, with a disc w/ movies, tv shows, etc, and every game for

Nintendo Entertainment System (NES)
Super Nintendo (SNES)
Sega Master System
Gameboy
Sega Genesis
Game Gear
Gameboy Color
Gameboy Advanced
N64 ( a few games right now)
even old old systems: Atari 2600, Atari 5200, Atari Lynx, Colecovision, Intellivision, MSX, MSX2, MSX2+, Turbografx 16, Neo Geo Pocket, and WonderSwan

and he updates it for you, and it comes with a whole bunch of extras

and its $365, do any of you think its worth it?

and if im not mistaked, the xecutor chip can do this right?
can anybody answer all my questions?

Do you know what illegal means? It means you can be fined and/or jailed. By way of my logic that's not exactly worth playin a few games for or dealing with someone who willingly and publicly breaks laws.

I dont think the operators, mods, or members of this forum condone or promote piracy either.
