Im about to buy a new xbox so what mod
 

I was thinking about getting a used or a refurbished but i figure i if i get a brand new one this would be best to mod. so my question is what mod should i get if i buy a brand new Xbox, i perfer solderless but i rember back in the day they suck so if thier is a big difference between solder and solderless i might as well get one i have to solder.

well, which chip to get depends on your xbox, which depends on how good a store sells its stocks. You are not garaunteed a v1.6 if you buy a new xbox, not all stores are garaunteed v1.6's since the older xbox's are still shipping from factories to remove the last of the stock.

Anyways, I would still suggest the x2.3b lite, or the newest x2.6's, which are more v1.6 friendly. I would definately choose wires. Solderless are ok, as long as you hot glue them. They seem to slip out of place. I'm very tired and am sry if my posts seems, well, pooped together.

I recommend this one. Only cause it has the capability of working with any xbox. I am ordering it for mine as well. ;)
