i want to know is dvd rips arent healthy at all for the ps2??

hmmm...

If you use decent media, you laser will be a little bit more stressed but it wont wear out your laser as fast as using rubbish media :)

DVD: Ritek dvd-r (G04 Dye)
CD: Verbatim cd-r
