Game Saves?!?
Hey,
Its getting annoying that I dont have enough space on my memory cards, is their a mod/etc to save to hdd yet? like on the xbox.... I know you can save them to your pc etc, but I want to save it to my ps2 hdd and load from their. Anyone? They better add this feature to the ps3  |
if your ps2 is modded, get the ps2menu-k, it'll backup your saves to ps2 hdd.
|
cool, can i load the saves off their like on xbox, or do i have to keep transferring them over.
What would be cool is, if I could store them on the hdd, and someone makes a patch that you install on the memory card to redirect it to the hdd, a certain folder to find the saves :) |
Each time you want use them, you should transfer them back to MC, backing up and restoring saves with ps2menu only needs pressing few buttons and I'm sure you can live with it fine untill someone makes a cool patch. :)
|
yeh I think I can :)
You know any tutorials for the software, n thanks for the help :) |
maybe you can find a toturial by searching in google but for now follow this quick guide:
get the ps2menu-k from that site, you should make a system.cnf for the ps2mnu-k.elf file, open notepad an type these lines: BOOT2 = cdrom0:\PS2MNU-K.ELF;1 VER = 2.1b VMODE = NTSC save it as SYSTEM.CNF, now make cue/bin image from these 2 files (ps2mnu-k.elf & system.cnf ) with cdgenps2, put some big files into the image to load better on ps2, burn the image at low speed. after ps2menu loaded on ps2, press L2 to adjust screen setting, back to main screen, press R1 and choose MC0, now you see your saves, highlight them and press square to get info about the save. to backup the save, highlight it and press start -> MC backup, now the save copied to hdd. to transfer back save to MC, press R1-> Saves and you see the list of backup saves, highlight the save and press X to copy it to MC (this will overwrite your current save. to delete file or folder, highlight them and press O. ps2menu create 512MB partition on hdd to store the backup saves, for access to this partition press L1 untill you see the "hdd0:PS2MENU-k MC Backup" partiotion, be warned never mess with index.idx file otherwise you lose the list of your backup save and you should copy them manually that will take ages to do it. |
i'll use pal tho :) lol

It won't matter as long as your chip supports imports
