Buying another ps2.
 

Hey,

i was just speaking to a friend on msn messenger and I asked him if he had any game consoles etc. He said he had a ps2 which he doesn't play, so I asked him how much he would want for it if he was to sell it..

He said he wanted about £40, 2x controllers, 8x games, 1x memory card. Its a version 7, 39003.

Do you think this is a good price? I belive it too be an amazing price, he is dropping it over to my house tommorrow so I can borrow it to make sure it works etc.

Do you think I should just pay the £40 or make a counter offer, as even if some of the games that come with it, I can proberly get my money back from just selling the games...

Please leave your comments etc, as I need some more info if you think I should buy it. I have a v7 at the moment, but I share it with my annoying brother who is going to break it soon, as when he transports it from my mums to my dads etc he bangs it against the walls etc. So I think I will get it anyways, but just want some advise.

yeh atm I have a v7 but its gonna break in a min the way me bro treats it, plus i could easiely get my money back from selling the games...

So i think I will get it, going to meet him at 2:00pm (GMT) today :) I am gonna borrow it for about 2days to test everything on it. Anything I should look for?

Right, I met him at 12 (GMT) instead of 2:00, right i've plugged it in and tested the one of the games and it works fine....

I think it might need a new tray not sure, as i thought it caught on something when I opened it.

Otherwise its fine. I am gonna test a dvd now :)

Just remove the tray and reinsert. It probably unseated itself from the tray rack so it's not going in and out properly...

ok will give it a go, its just its making a weird noise, when it opens, lol

Then you may want to grease up the laser runners and the worm motor shaft. Vaseline or anticeptic cream works well :)

What about KY Jelly? I hear its also used for other things.
