hd loader dumb?

SO wait, you plug your playstation 2 formated hard drive into your PC run that program and it lets you install etc., INCLUDING backups. And all this will run on a none chipped PS2?

seems like it. i think its a waste of time i know what i prefer.

As soon as my HDLoader comes I think I'll get that software too. I'll be able to do the same things (basically) as a chipped PS2 only I wont have to buy a chip and install it.

Oh and its called HDL_DUMP lol.... the link I posted is just a GUI for the HDL_DUMP utility with some added features.

Actually if you look at the link Seaney gave us, youll see that even the program screenshots show HDL-DUMB.

HDL_DUMP is the name of original dos version and HDL_DUMB is the name of GUI for HDL_DUMP to make life alot easier, several GUIs has been made for the dos HDL_DUMP so far, only WinHIIP is not based on the HDL_DUMP and has ability to format or erase the hdd in windows.

Actually,HDL_Dump is (cmd line), HDL_Dumb (Gui).Hence "dumb",for users that are not comfortable using switches via dos prompt or cmd line :)

Yeah but aftr u get it on the hdd useing the dump and loading it on a non chiped ps2 w/o the use of hdd loader how do u tell ur non chiped ps2 to run the hdd? U will need something to load the hdd when useing it.

You still need HDLoader to boot it up. I like WinHIIP myself a lot better then the other versions.

seems a clever idea to me but theres the issue of hd loader. There isnt one anymore!
