How to backup Far Cry CDs onto one DVD?
I got the CD version and I want it backed up on DVDs.
I do not care for protection as I'm going to use the cracks anyway. So, how can I put all the files on the DVD so that it does not ask for CDs during installation? Thanks! |
Hi Machina looks like your problem isn't solved, yet :p

I did this just yesterday.
Create a folder on your HD called "Far Cry". For each CD in turn, copy the entire contents directly into this folder, one after the other. For good measure I included the v1.2 Patch as well. That's it. Simply burn that folder straight to DVD+R and you're done. If you want to test it, try installing Far Cry straight from that folder before you burn it. The installer will proceed to 100% without prompting for any disks. |

So you've got a Far Cry folder with all the files in it... particularly data1.cab, data2.cab, data3.cab etc etc?
Odd. Mine seems to work alright... though I got my CD backup off BitTorrent... |

This may sound stupid but you're not INSTALLING the game into the folder then burning that to DVD are you?
I mean "copy" the contents of each CD in turn into the same folder then burn the whole lot. |

Machina,
Can you explain what you did to get it working, please? I'd love to know. Thanks, Gauge. |

Sorry. Try getting installer files from somebody (all files besides folders and .CAB files). Not me though, slow upload! |
