AR max freezes on me

i have a ps2 ver4 w/ a duo chip and when i want to do an online update check, AR max freezes on me. i successfully tested my network settings and placed them on my memory card, so that shouldn't be the problem? any suggestions? i appreciate it.

Try turning your chip off and doin it.
