PAL to NTSC
Probably a topic that is not completely new... :o
Anyway, can someone help me perhaps? Live and play in Japan but sometimes want to buy games from my home in Europe, have a flip-top PS2 version so playing backups as such is no problem, as long as they are NTSC... Is there any easy way to convert PAL games to NTSC with this in mind? Tried some soft I got on the Internet, but it didn't seem to work... I would really appreciate advice and help! Thanks, Plain |
That's why modchips are such great ideas... :)

Just out of curiousity, I am (may be) planning a trip to italy soon if everything goes right. If I were to buy a game there (if its any cheaper), does this mean it will work in my PS2 with HDloader & a Duo mod?
Just wondering about that cause I have never tried to play games from another region before. It would be good to know before I went and bought one. :D |
I'm sure imports boot perfectly providing you have a mod, which you do, so your sorted :)

Its always good to ask rather than trial and error. Its the error part i dont like. :p @ Plain You may want to invest in a mod chip so you can do the same. Check out the untimate sticky in this forum. It should help in your quest. If you post the version PS2 you have, we may be able to recommend a mod that suits your needs. Dont know of any mod installers in Japan though, so that will be another question you may need answered unless you know your way around a soldering iron a bit. You may also want to read the Mod Chip sticky as well. That will help you out too. ;) |
There is a certain Adrenaline Patcher that contains PAL to NTSC changing abilities. It isnt guaranteed to work for every game but it does a pretty good job on most of them. You may wanna look for it.
I wish we could attach larger files here so I can easily post it but unfortunately we cant. Tyler! |
