UT2K4 Private? Public?
 

Hi guys there are alot of severs out there for UT2K4 which I can see on the all seeing eye. The problem is my game only allows me to play the servers that my origional game finds(these are pretty few and also a bit ****ty lag). When i try to play the servers i find using the all seing eye it says my cd key is use. Is this because of this private and public server thingy? Do u need some sort of crack to access these servers? An example of servers that dont work are the jolt.com servers. None of thses will let me play :( So how do I play these private servers?

I heard ruimors about you can only acces cracked servers with crack, and public server with original cd. But I'm not shure. But use the search button in this forum and find the result for your self. I'm pretty shure you are not the only one with this problem.

Never heard of that happening before. I use the UT2k4 in-game browser as well as The All-Seeing Eye and have never had a problem. There is no need for a crack with the latest version of UT2k4 (3236).

Try re-installing All-Seeing Eye or try adding a server manually in ASE that you have successfully played on using the in-game browser.

There are some hacked servers outside to circumvent the authentication with the CD-key. AFAIK they are not compatible with un-hacked versions.
Long story short: pirates play vs. pirates and honest people vs. honest people. 2 worlds.

I know a web site that has a huge list of Private Servers for ut2004 and others...
