Evox M8 or X2 4983???
 

I'm using X2 4981 now. I'm thinking of upgrading, any suggestions as to the pros/cons of M8 or 4983?

From what I understand only the M8 bios (the certian one) allows you to mod and use a version 1.6 xbox. I havent tested this bios so I cant tell you any more.


As for 4983 theres nothin wrong with it, just that since its encrypted you wont be able to customize it with xbtool.

4983 is useless i think
stick with the 4981

I like the imbedded igr of the x2 bios, since my games are on my hdd. Evox has to be turned on via the dashboard. I would go with the 4981.

ya DEFINITELY stick with the x2 4981. the 4983 cant be told what to boot in xbtool, and evox M8 IS THE EXACT SAME THING AS THE evoxM7, except it will boot on v6 xboxes. and the M7 isnt that great, the x2 4981 is prob the best bios out right now.

btw does anyone no when the x3 bios will be out?

dont know why everyone puts down the m7 bios,it's the only bios i have ever used on my xbox and it has never given me a problem yet

no IGR, which isnt a prob if u use evox, but i use unleashx and blackstormx, so i choose a bios with IGR. there are other little differences, but thats the only reason i use a x2 bios.

Thanks all for the feedback. I do like the imbedded IGR and 4981 hasn't given me any probs at all. I guess I'll go with the consensus and stick with 4981.
