Should I get Firewire or USB?
 

I am going to get a Pioneer 107 but i do not have USB 2.0 only USB 1 but i do have a firewire port, Pioneer offers both fire and USB, which one should I get?

If I remember correctly USB2 is faster than firewire. I use it and it works great for me. I only use it for my 16x Toshiba dvd drive.

either one will work so go for the best price on the pci cards. keep in mind that TD is correct, USB2 is faster than the firewire. You will be fine with either one though. I think the cards are both fairly close in price. Check out your local BestBuy to be sure though. They should offer both cards.

The thing is, is that I already have a firewire card so should i get the firewire Pioneer or the USB Pioneer, but keep in mind that the USB I have is USB 1.

easy enough! Firewire Pioneer ;) :D USB1 is too slow and I think the USB Pioneer will work only work on USB2. not positive on that though. For sure the firewire will be your best option. ;)
