Gamecube hacked!!! Possible modchip!!!
It isnt cannon yet but its very possible that the same people that made some of the first and best ps2 modchips are around 70-90% complete with a working gamecube modchip.

wonder how many GameCube that's have been destroyed under the development of modchip! :rolleyes: :p
|
This is so awesome, but I wonder how long it will be until the pro chip installers have got this one down. I can imagine that a GC would be ridiculously hard to open up and solder to, and like the above poster pointed out, doing so would probably have a high chance of destroying the console.

cool now all we need is a homebrew ap to send the games to the pc instead of fantasy star
btw anyone know where to get a bba cheap? |
"btw anyone know where to get a bba cheap?"

BBA=Broadband Adapter
That video proves or shows very little. |
ahh i got reading it last night quite interesting did you know they were the first people to make a ps2 modchip?
Well from what i was reading is the modchip works perfectly the cd tested was made by the site admin its a little block screen looks like lines all down it. But they have to crack the gc copy protection which i think will take some time. He also is trying to reduce the number of wires which would make instalation simpler. |
Good to hear
Its about time one of these came out |
[QUOTE=seaneyb2003]ahh i got reading it last night quite interesting did you know they were the first people to make a ps2 modchip?QUOTE]Yeah, Origa-Bros Made one of the first 8 wire modchips for the PS2. It was a quality chip, way better than the Neo chips of that day.

yeh looks interesting really, i wonder how you make one need alot of knoledge in programing and electronics ay?

I heard on a couple forums that it was called the KATANA project. It said those 2 brothers were the only ones that knew about it. Looks like that's changed! But they are looking for a tad of help as well on the project...but if you're on it would have to be *hush-hush*. I'll try and find the e.mail address and post it on here A.S.A.P. Latest info I've read is that homebrew apps ARE running flawless on GC. Commercial games will be different stories though. I don't think it will be long before that modchip comes out. One thing for sure is that those brothers will be VERY VERY rich. Gauranteed!!! I'll be one of the first to send my GC in for modding once the chip comes out. No matter the expense; it'll be worth it considering Gamecubes awsome titles out! Prepare to see the piracy rate go up!!!
