error 21 on boot up
 

Does anyone know what error 21 means? error 21 = (generic, unspecified error) Does anyone know what i should do?

If your xbox lost the time, and your xbox dash was removed, then that is probably the reason. If you cannot boot any disks, a modchip will have to be installed in order to fix the problem. If you can, I suggest finding a replacement dash and doing a softmod exploit to get it onto your xbox.

btw, you cannot ask where to get a replacement. I stated that slayers might have it, but that is not for sure. The dashboard is MS's property and downloading it is like downloading a copy of windows. That is why asking for xbox apps such as this one is against the rules. We are less strict when people ask for home brew applications, but still will not offer a direct download do to their legality (compiled with illegal xdk).

i have a mod chip in the xbox. I can boot evox and the backup game on the dvd-r. do i need to just unplug the xbox or something? how do i fix the problem. Yes the dashboard was removed by assadent and i put the ms dashboard back in the c drive with a ftp connection. please tell me how to fix this?

Some file must be still missing or named wrong. You should have run evox on CDRW and backed up your entire partitions C: and E: before installing evox on your xbox HD.

If I had high speed I’d send you my backup as I believe everyone who owns an xbox should be entitled to download and restore MS Dash and all files distributed on their xbox hard drive.

Someone really needs to update Evox instructions and remove the obsolete part about renaming the original dash. All new BIOS versions will boot evoxdash, no need to mess with MS dash files. Too many people are messing up their Xbox hard drives for no reason.

i hav the same problem, stupid error code 21. i hav heard that it was the clock. i will hav to update my evox later but any advice on fixing my ms dash wud be most welcome.Plz :o
