Converting the EU Version of Trume Crime into the US version
 

I have got one idea to solve the problem that there is no 100% working crack for the EU version of the game. I found out that there are only a few files wich are the difference betweent both versions. So it should be possible to convert a EU version to an US version by just swapping a few files.

To convert the EU version to a US version I would need this 6 files from an original US version:

TCPCDE.txt
TCPCFR.txt
TCPCIT.txt
TCPCSP.txt
TCPCUK.txt
TCPCUS.txt

Als files together have got around 700 KB and are located in the Data\Shell Folder of the installation directory or in the Setup\Data\Data\Shell Folder of CD1.

It would be great if somebody who owns the US version can send me those files (zip or rar compressed) to Removed! - BW

If all works I will make a coversion patch out of it!!!

As you found out the exact differences between the two versions, you have both as originals, don't you? If you do, why do you ask for files from the US version? If you don't, why don't you read the damn forum stickies before posting a warez-suspicious question here?

I have only bought the european version of the game. I found out the difference by having a closer look at a bloodpatch for the eu version wich uses the US crack. But there are not all required files. What has this to do with warez? I only requested 6 .txt files, this files are useless without the original game.

If I'm not mistaken, requesting files of a game (version) whose original copy you don't have (if you had had it, why would you ask for the files, right?) is considered warezing on this forum. And, no, there are no exceptions...

If you see it so all cracks / no-cd fixes are already warez. These are also modified original files and everybody can download these files. No matter if he has got the game or not.

Same with these files they are required to make a correct backup of the EU version so they are nothing other than a crack.

Don't you understand the difference between "original" and "patched"?

Original files are on your original cartridge/floppy disk/CD/DVD/whatever (if you have one, that is :) ) so you have them handy all the time. You may not request original files on this forum.

Patched files have been created by other individuals and they are available for download, independently of GCW or this forum. You may request patched files on this forum.
