xecuter
i saw in a site the following modchips
Dms XBIT http://modchipsource.com/proddetail.php?prod=XBIT OZXodus Xenium http://modchipsource.com/proddetail.php?prod=XNIM OZXodus Xenium Solderless http://modchipsource.com/proddetail.php?prod=XNIM-S Xecuter 2.3b Pro. http://modchipsource.com/proddetail.php?prod=X23PRO (i posted the links cause they contain specifications in case you don't know them) i wanted to know which one is better |
I would consider all of those "developer" chips. Just a little fyi, all modchips made within in past 2 years do the exact same thing. They all use common bios that you out on your chip yourself. However, some have xtras that are not really needed at all.
Like a screen...wtf? multiple bios...Good for different dashboard boots, and colors Onboard menu...kinda cool, but evox will do the job. not really needed at all. My opinion would be like this: 0. X-ecuter 3 (not out yet) 1. Xenium 2. Xbit 3. X2.3b Pro That would be the order, however, I would get an x-ecuter 2.3 Lite over any of those. It costs half as much, and does the job needed with a 1mb flash (others have 2/4mb, which just mean more bios to put on). |
thanx i understood.when will the new xecuter be out?i am thinking of buying an xbox next month(not that when i buy it i'll modd it but then i'll have money)can wait for some time.
forgot to ask what's the main differences between x-ecuter lite & Pro and what's a solder(it sais Solder Required) thanx |

Well, If you can solder, check to see if this place can shi pto you:
http://www.mods4less.com/catalog/default.php They have a discount on the X2.3 lite (non-plus) for 30USD+shipping. They are going to be discontinued, which is why the price is going down. |

oh, well, if you don't know what soldering is, then I would get the plus version.
X2 pro = a chip with a 1mb flash rom, capable of using 4x256k bios, 2x512k bios, or 1x1mb bios. Also can be recover from a bad flash (which almost never happens unless you lose power). You have to solder this chip to the board. X2 Lite = Chip with 1mb flash. Can have 2x512k bios, or 1x1mb bios. Flash recovery isn't gauranteed. Yo uhave to solder this chip to the board. X2 Lite Plus = Same as above, but is solderless. You can just plug the chip onto the xbox mobo. Solder= a string of lead, basically. For the chips that require soldering, you have to stick the chip wires to the mobo by melting the solder onto the points. You can really do some damage if you don't have a stead hand, a soldering iron with a too big of a point, or have never soldered before. |
if u cant solder
id go for the xbit if u can solder x2 lite |
well i have a steady hand cause i have finished electronics school.
now i understood thanx.i saw in the instructions of placeing the modchip, that you need these tiny metallic parts(i think)what's that? to solder something u just need the desired wire and solder it.lets say just connect the wire to the mobo? ok if that's it i can solder(if not me my father does double)so i'm between lite and pro oh when the x-ecute 3 will be out if you know? thanx |
ok i just saw that it will be released next week and it has lots and lots of new features
|
ok after lots of thought and search i'll prefer the 2,3b lite.my question is one.
if i buy now the lite modchip and solder it.can i replace it in the future with lets say x-ecuter 3? |
ud have to desolder and buy that chip
.. but yea if u can solder like pretty well it aint no thang for u then |
