HD Loader and Modchip Question
 

I've been out of the ps2 scene for a while now and was wondering if you guys can help me out. I'm about to buy a HD Loader and new 120gig maxtor to use with my ps2 v7. Does anybody know if I would be unable to use the HD and HD Loader with my Messiah2 chip turned on. The reason I ask is because I remember reading somewhere that only the DMS3v2 chip supported the HD. Is this true? Will I have to power on my ps2 with the chip off everytime I want to use the HD/Loader? Another quick question...Does it matter if you get an 8mb or 2mb buffer HD?

Do you think it's better to go with a 2mb buffer drive. Cause i rather get an 8mb one.
