ASUS make stunning quality mobo's...

puppeteer666 29-06-2004 13:12

yea asus makes excellent boards without a doubt.

seaneyb2003 29-06-2004 13:28

really! well ive heard some bad stuff about asus. Also they have really bad customer support!!!!!!!!

lufcfan 29-06-2004 15:05

I've had 2 ASUS mobo's and they've both been ultra reliable, and never, ever gone wrong. I had an old Vale and it had to have a mobo replacement after 2 months. Don't knock ASUS for they are great quality boards IMHO... :)

seaneyb2003 29-06-2004 15:19

oh well....... i heard there crap. but i do know there technical support was rubbish it was on the internet somewhere. You must admit they are cheap to buy. I use asrock or intel caus there good.

I have to disagree with this as well. I too have an ASUS board. In fact its a P4G8X, look up its states and you just might blush and have to eat your words!

in fact here is a link for you http://usa.asus.com/products/mb/sock...d/overview.htm

lufcfan 30-06-2004 03:59

You might also want to look at the A7N8X while you're there... :)

Luciel 30-06-2004 05:08

Well i am the proud owner of a A7N8XE-Deluxe and through my life ive had many motherboards and this is the most reliable one EVER so dont diss asus, oh and btw ASROCK is provably the most cheap crappy company EVER ive had 2 and both a HUGE mistake, no such thing as tech support from them, and the video that comes with it, its just a chinesse ugly woman with loads of makeup smiling, i mean PLEASE!

lufcfan 30-06-2004 05:15

SNAP! A7N8XE-Deluxe - That's what I got :)

Great mobo's...

seaneyb2003 30-06-2004 13:01

If you paid more than $40 for your mobo then no its not worth it but if its just laying around collecting dust, use it as you see fit. I would advise you to just buy one. The going price on HDs is about $1 per gig unless you go higher like 120 or higher. You will have to decide which will serve the most purpose for your needs/wants.
