Dumb ? plz help

I just feel like a n00b for askin this but what the hey (i am more ps2 savy).......

i have two new games, tron 2 and diablo 2, i can install them but not play them on account of it saying when loading up the game that i do not have the correct disc inserted. this happens no matter which disc i use (if it is a multi disc game), and no matter which drive i use. my computer will just keep telling me that i do not have the correct disc inserted, despite the fact that i was able to install the game.

i think my problem may have something to do with the newest version of nero installing that virtual drive on my computer, but i am not sure (i tried disabling and uninstalling it).

i dont think that the problem is with the 2 games, i think it would probably happen for any multidisc game (which they all seem to be now a days).

I take it you're trying the original cds and it still won't work ?

Contact the publishers for help. Blizzard should be able to help with D2.

Jarek23 26-06-2004 10:08

i contacted buena vista already for tron, i am awaiting their response.

i will try blizzard too then.

i figured this would just be some simple solution... oh well, if anyone else has any suggestions i am open to them.

The solution to your Tron 2.0 problem is at www.freewebs.com/tron20 . Install the unofficial v1.042 update. The Diablo 2 problem I can't help you with, but a crack should do the trick.

i dunno its just weird, its the kinda thing non 1:1 copies would do, i recon u should contact them and get them replaced or ur money bk.

LOL! Almost no game software comes with a money-back guarantee and few if any retailers will refund for opened software so that ain't going to happen.

as far as i know most of "known" retailers here in uk offer money bk in max of 15 days no fuss and its true, if not try game or gamestation and ull see, in any case if its not possible he should get another copy.

You don't even know for sure the return policies of retailers in your own country?

In any case, that is certainly not true in the U.S.

No, he shouldn't. If both games don't work, then odds are it's not the games that are the problem, but rather his PC and the copy-protection. I already gave him a solution for Tron which will work for sure. A Diablo 2 crack most certainly also exist since it was one of the first Safedisc v2 games.

Luciel 27-06-2004 21:26

¬¬ yeah well u see i dont go to EVERY shop in the country, i tend to stick to one or 2 and no i dont spend my time reading policies...
And yeah, well wat can u spect from the us they do tend to take the piss on many things. no offence of course.

In Australia we can return a game within 7 days of purchasing! Even if we just dont like the game! We can also hire games overnight! I never use the demo's as I hire first then buy if I enjoyed it!! Great Country :D

Luciel 27-06-2004 22:04

yeah its the same here in uk grumpy, :)
