Copy protection for your own backups
Hi, all
Haven't posted here for a while!! Anyway, i was just wondering if there is some sort of copy protection software available for home users when making copies of their discs. The reason i want to do this, is that i want add some sort of protection to my PS2 backups to make it harder for peeps i.e. friends to make copies of, as some of them have made copies of mine, which i gave away for free, and then they sold for profit, which made me angry. I know there will be possibilities of cracking it, as everything gets cracked nowadays, yet i want do it to piss em off and waste discs, as some are not familar with certain backing up proceedures and patching, etc. Any info will be great Thanks!!!!!! :D |
Hans,
Im sorry but anyone asking this question just gets this answer from me: Dont lend out your games if you cant trust your friends. Tyler! |
giving away copies for free is just as bad as selling them

True, yet i have forked out $80+ for many jap imports, and made backups of them for personal use, not for pirating and making profit, and i didn't like the idea of people making backups of my copies and making money on them. However, what Tyler said is also true, i shouldnt lend em out if i dont trust my friends. I just wanted to try something new to surprise a few peeps, if my plan worked. |
