What I know about this bad relase (I dont have it):
On backup You can't leave 1st room.

You can get this image from Da1m0n.

With the 2 versions I got, you can't even pass the start screen.

Anyway, it's a Katana game, and I didn't find how to patch it (in fact, I don't even know what's wrong with it...).

I made a more "clever" patch, and added it to my patches database.

I simply changed the test on the country code.

I can't post exactly what I did here : it would be info about piracy, and it's not allowed.

But if I did it, anyone can do it : I had absolutely NO knowledge about it when I started to work on this. You'll need to find a wince disassembler and learn a few things about how windows works and SH4 asm...

Thank you Megalexxx for your patch. Now I can play PBA Bowling 2001 without problems on my PAL-DC.

I don't still have the cdi image, so I made one from the disc using discjuggler 3.0/3.5. I applied the patch, opened the image in isobuster and extracted all the files. It seemed to be ok. I compared the original and patched 1st_read.bins and platutil.dlls and saw that 00E0 9360 was changed to 01E0 01E0 in both files. I didn't compare any other files, but figured the patch must have applied correctly.

Anyway, I tried to make a selfbooting image, but it hangs at the licensed by S*ga screen. You can hear the laser reading a few things, but that's as far as it goes. Any idea of what the problem is?
