Megaman X3 patch not working

I tried patching Megaman X3 PAL, and I'm still getting the top part of the screen cut off, and the bottom part, unseeable. I used ppf-o-matic 3, to patch the .bin file, and I burned it using the latest nero by opening the .cue file for the game. Any ideas?

What you need is a Y patch fix.

Is that a simple tool to use?? If so, where could I find it??

Hold on - Is it that tool that says you have to dump ram, or something like that, cause I have no idea how to do that, or have anything that can do that. :(

EDIT - I just read your response to someone who seems to be having the same problem, and you suggested Zapper 2k. I'll try that, and come back with the results.

I tried that Zapper 2k. I left everything default, and it made the game screen "a little better" I don't know what type of values to type, to make it totally centered. I just don't want to go through a spindle of cd-r's just to make this perfect. If I knew the exact value to type in for the Y axis, I'd do it. But for now, I'll keep it as it is, although I know that it can be better. Anyone know how?!? lol. Thanks TylerDurden!! :)

Thank you, for searching.

Also what was your Y settings set to? 48 and 48 is what it shows in my old tutorial (very outdated).

when i choose PAL to NTSC they automaticly goto 0 & 0

I made 2 discs. One, I left the Y's alone, they we're set to 0 & 0. When I played the game, the screen was a tiny bit higher, and tad off to the side, like a smidge.

I made another disc, after the program was done searching the .bin I went to click on the numbers in the Y section, and this warning screen popped up, saying not to change the numbers, unless the screen isn't centered, and it said if I encountered that problem, to set the values to 21 & 21. I did that, and it made the screen, even lower than the orginal!! So, as of right now, I have no idea what exact numbers to type. I'd experiment if I could, but like I said earlier, I don't want to waste perfectly good cd-r's. If my psx/ps2 could read cd-rw's I'd do it. So if you, or anyone, know of the exact values to type, many thanks!! :)

Ok Im startin to remember now. I havent used Zapper in so long but its commin back to me. I think it defaults to the best it can do. Im not sure if it accepts negative numbers, because if higher numbers actually did it worse then negative is the way to go.

But like you said unfortunately your ps2 doesnt read cdrw's.

Ill keep looking around for other tools but since ps1 is oldschool Im doubtful Ill find anything.
