HPS Normandy 44 -- .exe crack needed!
 

I've mentioned this before, in the thread announcing its release, but the CD cracks released by Blond Knight and FAS are totally bogus.

The executables in those downloads are only the same as the patches released from the HPS site--check it out, download it and you will see, it's the same date and size as the HPS patch.

If this isn't an error, then I don't know what is.

Some cracks have to have the same properties as the original exe to trick some routines.

That's right. Yet still the FAS releases crash when you try to execute the .exe (with or without the CD in the CD-Rom). :confused:

I should not have called those 'bogus' so quickly, but simply have said that it does not work, with or without the CD, and that there must be a problem. I did not know that a crack could be made exactly the same size, though I can see how the date could be easily replicated. The others that I have seen have different sizes and dates.

But it would still be nice to have that crack, as I play that game all the time.

N44 1.08 No CD
 

I've been using a no CD for version 1.08 for awhile. The ones by fas weren't any good, but blond knight works if I recall correctly.
