RS6 3 UK & US
 

Been on holiday in Canada bought rainbow six 3, likening the game, bought add on Athena sword comes to install add on error says (installer is not designed for your language!). Can someone please help cheers?

Just change your windows language (Control Panel -> Regional and Language Option) into the language of the addon after the upgrade set it back to your original language

this won't work.
you'll have to change a value in your registry AND in you ravenshield.ini
I'm sorry but I dont know the exact values/entries to be changed.

Have you bought both Raven Shield and Athena Sword in Canada?

No just bought RS6 3 in Canada and got A\Sword from uk.Thanks for the help i'll have a go what you lads have just said!

The expantion pack game wan'ts to patch the game first. If you got UK files and US expantion it might don't work. Becuase the patch check the checksum in the files.... :(

the files (and the checksums) are the same. its just a setting in the registry and ravenshield.ini

okay, got it.
run regedit and navigate to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Red Storm Entertainment\RAVENSHIELD
doubleclick on Language and change it to "English UK"

now open the ravenshield.ini and look for "Language=" .
this should be Language=int

Its easier to change in your RS6 DIR the order "SUPPORT_US" to "SUPPORT_UK" and install the Expansion..
