ps2 v7, need NEW modchip.. what to get?
 

well i have been finding out recently that my apple chip just aint good enough anymore. so, with that being said... what should i get now?

please leave your thoughts. All I do with my PS2 is play my DVD backups and originals.

divx and mp3 playback would be cool if that could happen.

Duo/Duo 2 or Matrix Infinity. DMS3, whilst being an OK chip, is no longer a real viable option as Matrix Infinity does more or less the same things and is now the best chip on the market...

matrix infinity is the best to get then?

Yeah it's the best, but the most cost effective is the Duo/Duo 2. Your choice... :)

lufcfan - what are your thoughts on Magic V chip? I'm looking to see if this is a good chip and trying to find what modchips are sold here in australia

It's a really really good little chip. If you can get one for a good price, then there's no reason not to get it... :)
