Far Cry No cd crack and no sound
 

I dont know what the deal is but i downloaded the no cd fix ( english ) for far cry. it works and plays well but there is only music. There are no sound effects, i.e. gunfire, footsteps, things breaking. i put the .exe where it should go. does anyone have an idea what could be done about this? i cant play with no sound effects.

Think that you have to update your Soundcarddrivers......and Direct X and select right sound mode.....

yup that fixed it for me wen i had the same prob, also, update to 1.1 i believe thats the latests version (u can use the 1.0 crack on it as it dont change the .exe)

i have the 1.1 patch. i will try to reinstall it. i also have the most recent updates for my sound card. do you think it cld be a system problem? when my friend put the cracked exe in it does the same thing. here is what is have.

P4 2.4 ghz w/ht

1 gig pc 2700 ( dual channled )

creative audigy 2 zs 7.1 soundcard

ATI 9800 pro 128 mb

Wester Digital 40 gig hdd

Windows xp pro

cld it be incatable with any of these components?



disreguard above. after reading your info i uninstalled the patch and then reinstalled it. the problem was i installed the patch with the orig .exe file in there. that is the key.... to install the crack and then the patch. learning new stuff everyday. Thanks alot for the info guys and or gals.

Hmm, is it internal card, and if it is, does ur friend with the same prob also have internal card?
