Which MODCHIP is Reliable

Hi guys

Thought i'd done my homework and was settling for
DMS3v9 chip : Then I visited their website : The faults mentioned in the forum I found a little off putting, doesnt look too reliable

Anyone any advice on which modchip to get for ps2

any advice more than welcome ; I am also told some chips are blowing the ps2 machine is this true : If so which chips do i keep away from

what is the most reliable shortlist

regards

:o :o

Don't go with any Neo crap. DMS 3 is fine, but Matrix Inifinity is the best around at the moment. You may also want to consider Magic V or maybe even the new Messiah 2 V2. I have a Messiah 2 1.33b and it's been great.

I'd take a good look at the Infinity... :)

I agree with Lufcfan. I dont care much for the DMS3. There's no way i would buy Dms3 over matrix infinity. Magic V is also a good stable chip.

I like the DMS 3

Its worked flawless for me on my V10 machine. Has good features also.

I ll try the infinity next....

Matrix Infinity is a really good mod i thinking about putting one in my v5

anyway the thing that is blowing the consoles is the La chip which is in charge of the laser to fix this just do the romeo mod. For more info go on www.duomodchip.com and go to installs.

so...

So if you just bought a brand new PS2 (the one that comes with the Online Bundle) and you didn't care how much the mod chip cost, the best and most reliable option is the Matrix Infinity?

lufcfan 16-06-2004 13:20

Yeah, it is... :)

got it.

Thanks for your advice, I just ordered a Matrix Infinity from Diveneo. Am I correct to understand that they are currently working on making the mod-chip hard drive compatible so you can boot from HDD?

or you can go to the source :) www.cyber-mag.com/station/laserV9.htm ;)

They did ask permission for the use of the pics etc so no biggy - the info is free to all anyway! :D

Matrix Infinity and DMS are both good but expensive - but if ancient will use the features then I would also recommend them as good chips.

If the features are not needed then - Duo2, MagicV etc are much cheaper and will do the trick.
