please help - No luck with fixed.exe "..illegal operation.."

Game: Cat in the Hat
d/l the rzr.zip & the cat.exe

I copied the cat.exe to the correct folder and ran the prog...

2 problems

(1) when running the nocd crack, the message was
>
>...for the 2301952 bytes Game.dll 10/02/03 (US)
>
>.Patching Game.dll . . . . . . wrong filesize
>

the original game.dll file was 2,256Kb dated 23/01/04 (UK)

Why the message, Can anyone check this for me please ?

(2) When I run the prog the standard windows error message comes up ...

>This program has performed an illegal operation....

this only happens when I run the 'fixed' exe file

Has anyone succesfully backed up this game and ran the nocd crack?
