NfS Underground in LAN!
 

I downloaded at gamecopyworld the "NFS: Underground LAN CLIENT v0.9.9".
How can I use it? There is no Readme! Is it possible with it to play in lan with 6 people?
can you tell me how to set up a lan server and how to join?

i had 0.99 but didn't work.try downloading 0.9.8

start nfsuserver &nfsuclient
al the other should open nfuclient ONLY
when they start press all "Find local servers"
an ip of your pc is shown.select all this ip and press use server

5) DO NOT CLOSE CLIENT SOFTWARE WHILE USING LAN SERVER
6) Start the game.
7) Go to Play online.
8) Create new account.
This has to be done only once on each client.
9) Create new subaccount and play.

but where can i find 0.9.8. I found 0.99 and 0.97. can i use 0.97 as well. where can i find 0.98?
if you have it but don't know where you got it from can you plz send it to me? it's only about 100kb!

Moving this to multiplayer games

I have 3 files: nfsuclient.exe
nfsuserver.1.0.1.exe
nfsuserver.1.0.1.service.exe

my computer should be server, so I open nfsuserver.1.0.1.exe. I also want to play, so I also start nfsuclient.exe like all the others. but than i get this error:
"Could not initialize redirect socket. Maybe you have server started on this box"
Can you help me?

What is nfsuserver.1.0.1.service.exe about?
do i have to copy the files to the gamedirectory or can i put them also anywhere else?

well it's better to have them in the gamedir.start server(not service)wait for the other pc to connect to your ip and then try connecting.

I followed Luci's 9 steps above but the other machine on the Lan (not the one hosting) has nowhere for them to join, only to create? What have I missed? I have followed everything that has been written and it wasnt that hard but all I get on the host machine is the message '****** has declined your invitation!' (something like that anyway!) And yes I'm using the 98 lan not the 99! Any advice would be greatly appreciated as I really would like to whip my son's butt at this game. ;)

well you create the account ok?the other one types the name and password.make sure you agree with the message at the bottom.then choose the same game(record or don't record stats)then play.sometimes the pc might freeze
