May I suggest if you don't know why..or for what purpose? You should consider
How in 3 seperate questions.

[/list]
  1. How could I be so stupid to continue experimenting with overclocking this graphics Interface after these nice people warned me not to???
  2. How am I going to come up with $175.00 usd to replace this Graphics card???
  3. How much is the replacement Mobo, CPU and Ram? The heat from the graphics card took them out too and it smells really bad

Now now people. If this guy insists on risking "his" system then by all means lets help him do it. Im sure he wont be upset with "us" if we give him info that leads to him messing up his pc, because he chose to do this.

link82, I wouldn't risk it. If you want a better card, get the new x800, actualy beats the 9800xt by a large margin. If you reallt want to, here is an artical on overclocking the 9800pro.

http://www.pppmail.com/9800pro/

Just keep in mind that you gfx card is very likely to burn out after a couple of months of playing over clocked, or at least overclocked enouph to see a difference. So unless you plan on buying a new one soon, or can spare the couple hundred dollars, I would not recommend doing this.
