Which Chip?
 

i am thinking about getting a new PS2 but oonly if i can figure out which mod-chip to get. i was looking at the magicV (http://www.modchip.ca/products/ps2/magicv.php) and it says it boots everything directly right? so that means i just put a PS2 or PS1 or DVD Backups and it starts? that seems pretty cheap for a chip that does all that. But for $50 (http://www.divineo.com/cgi-bin/div-us/search.html) i could get the Matrix Infinity that says its the FIRST mod-chip to boot everything directly with no swithcing modes etc. I was just wondering have you guys had any experience with the MagicV Compared to the Matrix Infinity?

EDIT: does the DMS3 V9-V10 have all the quilaitys that the Matrix Infinity does such as direct booting becuase its only $1 more (http://www.divineo.com/cgi-bin/div-us/search.html)

Magic v is a v good modchip it does the basic functions like play backups imports etc it doesnt do multi region or nothing like that. It direct boots all games but it has special modes u have 2 put it in.

The matrix infinity is a very very good modchip direct boots everything and without any need for special modes it can also be flashed to upgrade the chip which is a good feature i personally like this chip

i say dont get divineo to install it as they will con u! get it here www.norcalmods.com very good fast service check the rating on this forum unbelieveable :)

ok, so i am gonna go with matrix infinity. you say dont get it installed at Divineo but is it ok to order it from there? alos the pictures for Matrix Infinity are different from the one on the Norcal site and the one on the Divineo site.

i take it the norcal one is real so is there another site that ships to canada that i can get a REAL matrix infinity?

lol there both real it depends how dark it is u know its nothing diffrent maybe the pcb printed on a diff colourd board neva know its not a fake tho dont worry norcal mods is good not some crap fake stuff trust! look at the reputation he has check the uis :)

Yeah, Divineo's a legit site - just a bit pricey depending on what you need.

go with www.modchipman.com.. i got my ps2 premod(brand new ps2 with chip installed) with dms3(almost same as matrix infinity) from there. not a bad price and good service.. get it from there if ur looking for a new ps2 and a chip.. it will save you money!

PS: i am also from canada and i ordered at the x-mas rush and i think it only took a week and a few days.. so it should take about a week now!

well divineos much cheaper than norcal for the matrix infinity.

Ummm....no they are not. My prices are for installs which includes the chip the install service and return shipping. The prices on divineo's site are for the chip alone and I don’t believe that includes return shipping. We even beat their pre-mod prices. However divineo s a very reliable reseller that even I have used in the past. I haven’t heard anything bad about them.

ya..you will be happy you went with modchipman.. and seany.. when did u find modchipman slow? i found a week and a few days ovr x-mas was very very fast!! :confused:

Well dont know about how fast or slow they are but $60 install doesnt even include the chip, or return shipping.

He isnt getting a chip installed he is getting a pre-modded PS2. Modchipman is close to you so delivery time should be short, he does good work so as long as you are comfortable with him and the price i say go for it.
