Backing Up GC Games

Hi i was spending a number of hours today reading through all the posts you have on GC backing up and it kind of got a bit confusing with all the mixed opinions on the topic. can someone please let me know if i am correct in saying this.
in the topics i read that you can backup GCN games from the GC to PC using a broadband adapter and a network cable connecting the GCN to your computer and transfering the GCN game .ISO to PC by using a program called gamecubeserver or pheonix (on the pc side of thigs) and Final Phantasy Online to connect to the PC (on the gamecube side of things) then you back up the games you desire like that and then when you want to play again you run the computer prog either pheonix or GCserver and then connect to the computer via final phantasy online and then the game will be streamed over the broadband adapter and you can play the game as if it was phisicaly in your console.
This is the impression i get from reading the posts and im just a bit confused cause in a way this sounds almost to good to be true can someone please give me further advice on this topic. replies greatly appreciated
Regards Zer0

ok thanks for that information there um does that also mean u can stream the backups somehow back from your PC to the gamecube and play then on ur cube off the comptuter seeing there is no other real confirmed way of burning GC games onto mini dvds
thanks

yes, you use the same method to play the games on your gamecube.
